Cool stage, managed to clear it on my first try
(well technically I attempted this stage 2 months ago, but only got to the midboss. And I forgot everything since then anyway)
This game has hypers alongside the regular bombs. To use one, you have to fill up the hyper gauge on the right side of the screen (you can do so by collecting point items and cancelling bullets). You also need a bomb to use it. You can enter a hyper by holding down the X key (which also means that you can't deathhyper, only normal deathbombs work). After activating the hyper, you'll use a different kind of bomb than normally. For the duration of the hyper, you get the following benefits:
- double resource gain (TD style)
- more powerful shottype
- autobomb if you get hit, providing you have at least 1 bomb. The hyper also automatically ends if you get hit.
When the hyper ends, a significant part of the screen has all bullets cleared from it.
It's worth noting that the extra boss is becomes invulnerable when you use a regular bomb, but not during the hyper bomb.
...don't ask me how I survived the second midboss spell. Who needs hitboxes anyway
