In comparison to the regular Zhemian Guzheng (折面筝 in Mandarin), the Fully Hollowed Out Guzheng is an older and more traditional Chinese way of making a Guzheng. From the Fully Hollowed Out way of hand carving from a single piece of log, this results in a gorgeous everlasting curvature of the Guzheng soundboard while giving it a unique deep sounding rich bass.
