With the rise of the Huns rampaging in the eastern europe, in 376 CE the Goths seek refuge in the Roman Empire, now divided between eastern & western empire.
Initially abused by the Romans, the Goths strive for their independence and rose to challenge both the eastern and western Roman empire in the game of friend and foe. Decaying western roman empire slowly give up to the Germanic newcomers who control its territories and ultimately its capital in 476 CE.
