What is Dead Arm Syndrome? Dead arm syndrome is when your tendons and ligaments around the shoulder have become really loose and so the shoulder itself cannot create any force to achieve movements. Some people are born with instability in their shoulders, which is what we call Double Jointed, which in essence really means their tendons and ligaments are really loose in which can causes pain.
For people who play sports (baseball players) often coaches yell, "You are going to throw your arm out" or "You are throwing too hard". People tend to think this is the reason that causes Dead Arm. This is not the primary reason! It happens because people are not aware of the full functionality of their shoulder. When children develop into teenage years, they are not locating their primary muscles of their shoulder which are their:
*Deltoids
*Back Muscles
*Chest Muscles
