EMBRACE THE CALL || WOMAN OF IMPACT || ANNUAL LADIES CONFERENCE SESSION 1 || BISHOP DR. THOMAS MUTHEE
Luke 1:26 John 19:25, Acts 1:14 Ephesians 1:3
Am blessed and I have a calling, we all have a calling in the Kingdom of God. Mary was blessed and had a calling in her life too.
The word bless means empowered to make progress and even go to heights. This has nothing to do with your feelings or problems that are around you. Now that you carry Christ in you, you are blessed and this blessing will lift you to all heights, problems cannot change that. Being stirred from what is already within you. What was in Mary was stirred up and the blessings flowed.
1. Interruptions. An angel tells Mary God has an assignment for her even before she can dream big. God intervenes in every interruption, He will come through in a special way, when things seem to go contrary to your dreams, or betrayal or denial, nothing will stop that journey because God will intervene though He may take a different root.
With every interruption God will intervene, Herod is here to abort the dream just when Mary thought she was settled, another Interruption of Herod shows up, and the blessings will not change amid interruptions, whether you are in Egypt or denied a visa. You are blessed in the place of your assignment. The blessings prosper you in the assignment and not the place. Blessings defied age, Abraham was blessed at seventy-five and Sarah at ninety, but the blessing still found its way. Embrace your call despite the interruptions on your way. There is power within that has not been stirred up that will provoke the blessings.
Another interruption was when the Governor declared a census that required Mary to travel a distance of 100 km carrying her pregnancy, being destabilized, with no maternity ward or midwife around. Another interruption is when Jesus is now older and She has to take care of other children after Jesus, she has to hold the family together despite the challenges of even the brothers who never believed in Jesus, and also Joseph is nowhere in the picture. Mary is not just embracing the blessings but also the call she received. What was in her carried her all the way. Every depression has two sides or high points, one side is where you fell in, then the next is where you are climbing up. You are not supposed to live there, there is always a climbing up. In God's kingdom when you go up you never return to the same level, it's one glory to another, going higher to higher levels where you dine with kings. All interruptions will be wiped out because you have a God who will intervene if you give Him the space
