You gotta love it how Einar Selvik aaaalways uses the exact same passages for all his songs, when singing in Old Norse x) I swear this is the 4th song I find he wrote using these same exact lines!

The song, which comes originally from the soundtrack of the series Vikings with the title “Floki Appears To Kill Athelstan”, was somehow confused with a track by Wardruna titled “Völuspá”… although said song has nothing to do with this track (confusion aroused from the fact that in the episode where this song plays, it’s immediately preceded by the actual “Völuspá” song by Wardruna, and they were believed to be one track). The confusion was so widespread, that when Wardruna released an official video for “Völuspá” they had to add in the description “Skaldic version”, to justify the fact that it didn’t sound anything like the song people expected: [ Ссылка ]
TL;DR: if you believe this song is titled “Völuspá”… you may want to reconsider that…

The lyrics are the usual passage from the Völuspá, describing the events at the beginning of Ragnarök, with the gates of Hel about to open, the wolf Fenrir tearing loose from his chain Gleipnir, and people going crazy and killing each other in blind rage.

I know a transcription in runes of such a text doesn’t really have any reason to be, if not as a treat, but yeah…that’s just what it is, bear with me.
