Inhibition is almost the same. With 5mg finasteride DHT inhibition is 69.2%, with 1mg DHT inhibition is 68.7% and with 0.5mg DHT inhibition is 67%. Even with 0.2mg finasteride DHT inhibition is 61.7%. So you can see that there is not much difference. Of course 1mg is the best to start and treat your hair loss BUT if you have side effects it is no drama to reduce the daily dose. Maybe just drop it to 0.8mg first and see what happens.
