What is the difference from White Belt to Blue Belt and Brown Belt to Black Belt. That's the question for today's Q&A video. It's an interesting one too. Because each belt / level of skill seems to have a certain pattern to it.
Going from White Belt to Blue Belt is one of the biggest shifts in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. You go from knowing nothing to having a foundation of knowledge. If it was a language it would be like not knowing a language to being able to speak.
Brown Belt to Black Belt is usually a bit more subtle. In my experience with BJJ people's game at this point is set. It's just in need of a bit of refinement and this is usually what you see at this level. Think of it as sanding out a piece of woodwork to get it a smooth finish.
