Prayer is a security measure God has placed in your life so you don’t sway from the truth. It helps you to know what God wants to do and is doing part-time.
The things that sustain life physically all function in a rhythm, and in the same way, the things that sustain spiritual life must be put on a rhythm and not based on inspiration or feeling, because what breathing is to your natural body, prayer is to your spiritual life.
There are three realms of prayer. A deep dive into Matthew 7:7 shows us the three realms and levels of prayer.
▶️ Ask, and you shall receive.
▶️ Seek, and you shall find.
▶️ Knock, and the door will be opened.
📌 Ask: Otherwise called the prayer of petition. Here, you approach the father for your needs. It is the foundation of a healthy prayer life.
It is the motivation that you receive from answered prayers that drives you into fellowship. When a believer’s needs are constantly left unmet, there is a possibility that their needs will overwhelm them and affect their fellowship with God.
While the death of Jesus was the greatest spiritual demonstration of the love of God to man, answered prayers are His greatest demonstration of love to the believer.
📌 Seek: Also known as the place of devotion, is the realm of deep fellowship with God. When you build the pillar of asking, you also build the pillar of joy. But the pillar of seeking is what builds purpose and aligns you with the will of the Father. Seeking is simply the process of coming into the likeness of God.
📌 Knock: This is about establishing the lordship of Jesus in your life and the world at large through prayers and warfare.
Remember this: If you spend more time in prayer, you’ll spend less time figuring things out.
