Kap felt like Otis needed some reinforcements for this crucial final game of the series. So he tracked down Otis’s family and together they got the Cubs back on track.
Jameson Taillon pitched well in the oppressive St. Louis heat. He went 5.2 innings and gave up 3 runs. The defense behind Taillon was spectacular. It seemed like every single player on the field made a great play at some point in the game.
Offensively, the Cubs played long ball all day. Pete Crow-Armstrong and Christopher Morel both hit two home runs in the game. Happ and Nido also homered.
It was a great finish before the All Star break. Kap says it’s time to go out and trade for some reinforcements.
