Today we are demoing a very special limited edition Ludwig Legacy Mahogany Black Cat shell pack in fab sizes (9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom, 14x22 bass). Complementing the shell pack is the matching 6.5x14 Ludwig Legacy Mahogany Black Cat snare drum. Ludwig's Legacy Mahogany shells are a throw back to a shell recipe developed in 1923 of inner and outer thin plies of mahogany with a middle ply of poplar. These thin shells have a great sound and the vintage kits with these thin shells are still sought after by drummers all over the world. The bearing edges for the Legacy Mahogany Black Cat kit are all 30 degree inner edge with a round over outer edge, giving these drums a great punchy sound with a little bit of sustain underneath. This limited edition legacy mahogany kit has a the very special added feature of black maple hoops with a silver sparkle inlay. The black shells with black hoops look sharp on their own, but the silver sparkle inlay adds a nice accent to the look of these drums. The limited edition Ludwig Legacy Mahogany Black Cat shell pack and snare drum have a great classic thin mahogany shell sound in a modern build kit and a sharp black finish that will grab anyones attention.
