The daunting task - What to Pack for Your Trip to Tahiti? On this week’s Tahitian Moment Live join me, Carl with new team member Cherie on the best tips and tricks for packing for your next vacation to Tahiti.

Everyone has to do it. The tough decisions of what to pack and what to leave at home when travelling- especially when visiting a place you haven't been before. It may be tempting to try and throw everything in the suitcase "just in case" but here are some of the best tips I tell clients for packing for French Polynesia. Tip one – don’t do the “just in case” and overpack!

Pull out your summer wardrobe, the islands of Tahiti are hot. What are the basic items for day-to-day use from tours in the lagoons to romantic dinners at resorts that you should be bringing along with you? Packing items that you may not think you would need to bring on a tropical vacation- like a swim shirt for long days spent out on the lagoon in the sun.

When fitting everything in what items can you definitely leave behind at home? Overpacking is usually the biggest problem, so think mainly along the lines of beach and swimwear- no ball gowns needed!

Lastly, keep in mind your luggage allowances. The allowance for Air Tahiti - the interisland airline - is different from your international flights. Try to avoid unexpected overweight baggage charges at the airport.
