A patron asks: "So my question is, if by some miracle we actually were to restructure our society on truly democratic grounds, can any trace of capitalism be left in place? If some capitalistic mechanism remains, will it naturally grow out of control again over a long period of time because that's just what it does? One of the reasons I was thinking about this is that I am especially interested in how Prof Wolff talks about democracy in the workplace. I wonder though, if a large part of that idea is actually carried out, will the American hyper-brand of capitalism just end up crushing a socially democratic workplace over a period of time."
