You’ll need to do this whenever you start a new weaving project, but it’s easy to get the hang of.

You’ll need a strong cotton yarn to use for your warp, then follow fibre artist Lucy’s lead and thread the warp around the loom frame in an S movement. Once the warped thread is set up, you’ll be able to start weaving any designs you choose!

Our Get Started in Weaving series is designed to teach weaving beginners all the basics. The guide features simple techniques and great ways to embellish or experiment with your weaved designs. This is a great way to create wall hangings and more using leftover yarns you love.
