If you have extensions and don’t know how to wash your hair extensions the right way, this video is just for you. In this video, we will show you how to wash hair extensions in order to keep the hair silky and smooth.
The first step of how to wash hair extensions is to comb and untangle the hair. After wearing the hair all day, exposed to sunlight and dust, the hair might get messy and no longer as soft as it was at first. At this point, it is very difficult to untangle and any can damage our “beloved” wig.
When it comes to real hair, most of us know how to brush it, right? If your real hair is already soft and smooth, sometimes you don’t need to use a comb, using your hands to brush it is a good way to untangle it.
The next step of how to wash hair extensions is to put it into water, here are the guidelines.
Prepare a basin of diluted water and mix shampoo for hair extensions with water.
Fold the hair extension and dip it into the water. This is the step in how to wash extension hair that many of you are most likely to do the wrong way, because most people will think that washing or cleaning a wig is simply choosing the right shampoo and just putting the hair in and cleaning and then drying it. But the right way of how to wash hair extensions at home without adjustment is that you need to fold your hair and slowly dip it into the water.
Put the wig in the basin and soak it for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with water.
Continue to add conditioner to the basin of water and soak the wig in the same way as with shampoo.
The next step of how to wash hair extensions is to squeeze the hair extension gently.
Use two hands, one hand to hold the upper part of the hair extensions, the other to gently squeeze the lower part of the hair to slowly remove dirt from the hair.
Then you rinse it off with clean water.
One of the most crucial steps of how to wash hair extensions is to dry it. Let’s prepare a high quality cotton towel to dry the hair extension after washing, gently massage and keep the hair horizontally to avoid tangles. After that, you can choose two ways to dry the hair extension: let it dry naturally or use a blow dryer.
The fifth step of how to wash hair extensions is to use hair care for your extensions. Wait until your hair is eighty to eighty-five % dry to use a hair care, then let your hair dry completely.
After using hair care you should avoid exposure to direct sunlight, which will make your hair shorten its lifespan. A few months after use, you can nourish your hair yourself, or incubate your hair at home to make your hair smoother.
I hope you are now able to wash your hair extensions the right way. If you have any questions or want to get some samples, please don’t hesitate to send me messages on WhatApp.
