This video shows a possible firing order/interval of the Ford GAA, GAF, GAN engine if it had a crossplane crankshaft. I based the firing order on a reversed Ford Flathead V8 as that engine was common and still fairly modern at that time.
It also answers the question nobody asked which is "what would an 8V71 sound like if it was four stroke"
This is an odd fire engine, due to the crossplane crank and 60 degree bank angle.
The firing interval of this hypothetical engine is R1 90º R2 60º L4 120º R3 60º L1 90º L2 120º R4 60º L3 120º
