The 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games will be the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympics, a major international multi-sport event and cultural festival for teenagers aged 15-18 to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland. Lausanne is home of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the games will be held between 9 and 22 January 2020.

The hand-over ceremony was held at the closing ceremony of YOG 2016 in Lillehammer, Norway.
