"In a universe of readily available images from mainstream visual culture, social media, art to art history, it has been interesting to me that nuanced and complex women’s sexual and erotic joy on their own terms is very rarely seen.As part of the 'Exploring Radical Female Joy' programme with Unit London I asked 4 women to choose an image that spoke to them of this month’s theme of sexual and erotic female joy. Part of the ongoing ambition of this project is to think about the relative invisibility of female joy in all its forms in our cultural images." - Catherine McCormack, project curator.
