#32 - At Night She Comes Home to Me - BABY
When this show premiered in the 1984 Broadway season, it was up against some strong competition. THE RINK, THE TAP DANCE KID, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, and the eventual Tony-Winner LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. But with a terrific score, much of this music lives on.
The plot centers around 3 couples who find out they're pregnant at the top of the show. Here we've got half of an athletic married couple who have been trying for years - Kelvin Roston Jr, (who finds after this song that the hospital made a mistake, and they're not pregnant), and a college girlfriend and boyfriend - Nik Kmiecik, a kid who is trying to navigate how to take what he feels are the responsible next steps. @rostonjr @nik_kmiecik
