Long live the people of Lahaina! Lahaina residences find themselves in a position where they have petitioned the governor to not reopen Lihaina on 10/8/2023. The petition has 10,000 signatures and the message is clear. It is too soon to open back up. The residences are in this situation because of a systemic breakdown of communication. Enough is enough. Please don’t continue to compound the communication errors. The people need time to grieve. Let them embrace their families and community before they are asked to embrace the world. #support
