This Video gives direction about when and how often a painter should be changing our thier final booth coalescing filter. This filter is the last safety in the air system to prevent oil aerosols from entering the regulator, the painting hose and spray gun which are after the filter. The coalescing filter removes oil aerosols to .01 microns. If the filter is not maintained on a timely basis there is a good posibility of passing oil aerosols into the painting process and ruining a good paint job. Each Body Shop will have different requirements based on the amount of spraying that is done each day, week, month. Evaluating the filter element is critical to insuring your element will last through the entire predictive time period the painter or service technician chooses between element service.
