In this talk, Dr Sam Blankenship (Harvard) analyses Herodotus' Histories for traces of signature forms of Achaemenid-Persian engagement with history. Dr Blankenship highlights how Herodotus, like other early Greek historians, was influenced Persian intellectual systems for figuring the past.
