Hey everyone! As the little daylight we had began to fade away, CN A418's headlight appeared through the smoke down the Westlock Subdivision. This was no regular 418 though, for power they had not one, but two C40-8M's, which had recently been taken out of storage! I first caught them passing the Westmor Grain Terminal just outside of Morinville, Alberta, before chasing them and catching them once again just outside of Carbondale. It certainly was an amazing experience being able to look up from behind the camera and see, hear, and feel the presence of these old workhorses, still trying to earn their keep as they flew by, bound for Edmonton! Located on the tail of the train was a weed spraying setup, which was a welcomed surprise! I'm not too sure where these locomotives are at today, but since CN has retired the vast majority of the Dash8's, they could easily be sitting in a scrap yard. It's almost certain to say that I will never get the chance to see anything quite like this ever again! Thanks for watching!
