Ketch Secor, co-founder of Old Crow Medicine Show, sings their hit song "Wagon Wheel" live at the American Writers Museum. On October 6, 2018, Secor visited the AWM to sing and dance with young kids and read from his new children's book 'Lorraine,' available now.
Secor collaborated with Bob Dylan on "Wagon Wheel" and performed as part of our Singers & Songwriters series in conjunction with our new exhibit Bob Dylan: Electric, opening November 6, 2018 and running through April 30, 2019. The exhibit celebrates Dylan's mastery of songwriting and the impact his work has had on other songwriters and American writing as a whole.
On display in the exhibit are many never-before-seen Dylan memorabilia including his personal copy of 'Catcher in the Rye,' original handwritten lyrics to some of his classic songs, autographed records and posters, as well as the electric guitar Dylan played at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, the first time he played live with an electric guitar.
