When does banter cross the line to become harassment? And how can you point it out when it does? DMU is working with the University of Leicester and Leicestershire Police and a new campaign called That’s Right, You’re Wrong. It aims to reduce violence towards women by empowering people to call out abuse and harassment they hear or see among their friendship groups. These behaviours include catcalling, not leaving women alone when they've said no and making disrespectful jokes about women.
To support the work, both universities have taken part in a series of videos and in this one, students from both universities share their views about what really constitutes harassment and a lack of respect.
