Here I demonstrate how to control the speed of a pneumatic cylinder and also a rod less cylinder using two different components. The first is an adjustable pneumatic muffler or adjustable pneumatic silencer and the other is a pneumatic speed control valve. Both of these devices restrict the air leaving the cylinder as this is the best way to control the speed without losing any force on the cylinder.
