Are you Deaf?
Do you sign Auslan?
Do you have a story to share about a someone who made an impact on you?
You are invited to submit a 2 - 3 min max Auslan video story on the theme: "What I wish I'd told You..."
This project call out is for Deaf Auslan signers. Auslan Stories. It provides a platform for sharing Deaf Voices and Deaf Culture.
Due date: final submissions 31st Dec.
In your video, face the camera and tell someone who has had an impact on your life what you wish you'd told them, as if you a talking directly to them. They can be someone close to you, a friend, an old teacher, a cousin, whoever you'd like to choose. They may have passed away. Or you could be separated by distance.Consider sharing a specific memory of a time together, or a significant impact they had on you. You may choose to say their name or not.
Video submissions will form part of this project to provide platform for Deaf voices, Deaf Stories and Deaf Culture. We are seeking a diverse range of Deaf voices and experiences.
We are seeking venues for exhibitions of a selection of videos. Your short story could be selected for exhibition in Melbourne, Victoria and across Australia and we hope, in future - to take this project international.

Submissions will be reviewed and selected for inclusion in the exhibition. We will endeavour to include as many stories as possible with the aim to showcase the diversity of Deaf voices and share powerful stories.
