So I was thinking about cults and was wondering just how many cults there have been in human history - and how many cults would be "weird".

And before people go, "oh organized religion is technically a cult" - I don't care to talk about that right now. Instead, I'm more wondering about the people who started a cult worshipping walrus tusks or something along that nature.

Like there had to be several "weird" cults out there, right? Also in theory couldn't we end up with a cult of people who worship the descriptions of these videos? That's a weird thought.

The technical definition of a cult according to the internet is "a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing" - so by that definition couldn't people who are huge fans of something be cultists?

I feel like that would also mean that stalkers could be cultists as well, depending on the circumstances.

Only in the descriptions of my videos will you read about someone equating stalkers to cultists.
