Gusts of up to 70mph battered Gibraltar with more of the same expected over the next few days.
The Gibraltar Met office issued a severe weather alert this morning, although gale force winds were forecast before the weekend.
As the vortex of low pressure continues to linger in the area, strong easterly winds will persist throughout tomorrow and Wednesday, before easing off on Thursday.
