Well, well, well... After around 7 months, I have finally done another JonathanGD level!
You must know by now that, Jonathan is my favorite creator in Geometry Dash and sadly we are slowly running out of levels... But we still do have two more to do! In this video I beat one of the harder and longer levels by Jonathan, The Lost Existence! Let's talk about it!
To be honest, I have been really scared of this level. The reason is because the gameplay is sooooooo slow... Basically, 70%-80% of the level is on 0.5 speed and that makes the level quite the journey. This level mainly focuses on tight timings and it has sections that test your timing skills on every gamemode! There are cube, ball, UFO, robot, spider and even a swingcopter part that are all super tight and satisfying to get through. However, there are also some very tough ship sections that require a somewhat decent straight-flying skill. A notable part is of course the heaven part where there is a long and slow flying section. My favorite part is easily the, what I like to call, "factory part" which is 53%-63% and that is because it's one of the faster and more interesting parts. It also has a short yet iconic JonathanGD dual which is not that hard but it does take some practice to master. I also like that there are parts that are inspired by Deadlocked and Lonely Travel, I think those parts are special touches that bring a fresh look to those legendary levels!! Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the gameplay but I dislike the fact that it is very slow...
The decoration is quite decent as well! This level is part of a movement called "levolution" which was basically a project to prove that the rate standard is not as high as people think and levels with little objects can get rated. This can be seen on this level. It is definetely a weak level in terms of deco if we compare it with the rest levels by Jonathan but that doesn't mean it has bad decoration. I especially like the rainbow wave near the end of the predrop and the tight spider part near the ending. You know I love when a variety of colors is used on a level and this one definetely has it which makes it not as boring to play through since every part is unique! Not the best decoration but not the worst either.
To sum up, this level wasn't as scary as I thought. It is quite easy to learn the parts individually but putting them all together is what makes this level an Extreme Demon. Sadly, as I said we are getting close to the end of the JonathanGD levels but don't worry cause we still have the big boy BuTiTi III which is quite the challenge so... We still got a lot of work to do!!
Also thanks to @patrickgd7583 for being in a call while I was beating this! If it wasn't for you, I would have died from boredom xD (also GG's on "How To Platformer", we both gamed in that call)
Enjoyment: 71/100
Demon Rating: Insane/Extreme Demon (if it was like 2 minutes long definetely insane demon)
