CHIFFON CAKE
✔️Ingredients for Batter
5 egg yolks
1/4 cup veg. oil [60 ml]
200 ml water [3/4 cup + 1.5 tbsp]
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup white sugar [100 grams]
1 & 1/2 cup all purpose flour (sifted) [192 grams]
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
✔️Ingredients for Meringue
5 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar (vinegar can be a substitute)
3/4 cup white sugar
*hot boiled water needed for baking [baine marie method]
🎛Baking time: 50-60 mins. @ 180C
🚫DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN TOO EARLY WHILE BAKING OR ELSE THE CAKE WILL DEFLATE.
