INGREDIENTS
Dates - 500 gms
Cashews - 50 gms
Almonds - 50 gms
Walnuts - 20 gms
Pistachios - 50 gms
Pumpkin Seeds - 2 tbsp
Sesame Seeds - 2 tbsp
Poppy Seeds - 2 tbsp
PROCEDURE
1. Add deseeded dates to a blender and grind to a fine paste.
2. Heat ghee on a pan and add all the chopped nuts – cashews, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and pumpkin seeds. Roast for few minutes.
3. Add sesame seeds and ground dates paste. Mix and fold the dates paste to mix well along with the roasted nuts.
4. Remove from flame after few minutes. Once cooled, roll to a thick bar. Cut into 3 equal portions.
5. Further roll each portion into thinner rolls and keep aside.
6. Sprinkle poppy seeds and chopped pistachios. Roll each portion over the poppy seeds and pistachios so that it coats well over the rolls.
7. Cover each roll using aluminium foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.
8. After 1 hour, remove from foil and cut each roll to thin slices.
