In 1988, rally legend Tony Pond took to the wheel of his Metro 6R4 in the Birmingham Superprix, an event which was a supporting act to the 1988 and 1989 FIA Formula 3000 Superprix.
It was a high octane street race around the the city with a host of Metro 6R4s competing, and in 1988 the overall winner was guest celebrity driver Tony Pond, who was competing for the first time in a Metro 6R4 since the 1986 RAC Rally.
This awesome on board footage from our archives may be over-exposed, but it's Tony Pond, in a Metro 6R4, so we had to share it!
