Still Got The Blues? Don't we all... so this chord progression is what you hear in Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues.
It's a pretty common chord progression, and this is a great exercise to get to know these chords and arpeggios.
Next step is to find other arpeggio shapes on the fretboard.
This sounds so melodic, don't you think? That's because the chord tones are always in there, and the notes flow between each chord so beautifully. This is why scales up and down is NOT always the best choice! The broken up scale, which is what we get when we play arpeggios, sounds so much better, in my opinion.
This is the secret to playing melodically!
