During this session, Dr. Asaad will talk about the value of doing research in the U.S. as a medical student/medical graduate, how to find research positions, and expectations vs. reality during research fellowships/internships.
Dr. Asaad is a plastic surgery resident at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed three years of clinical research at two world-renowned institutions—The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
During three years of research, he worked with leaders of the field and published over 100 publications and participated in over 80 presentations. He also has multiple online courses to teach students how to do research and how to perform statistical analysis.
