If you're headed NOBO (northbound) on the Appalachian Trail, most likely Neel Gap will be the first place to resupply. It's currently 31.3 miles from Springer Mountain, is right on the trail, and has a variety of things you might need. Or, if you're not happy with how much weight you're carrying, they can help give your pack a "shake down".
