"We're basically raising money for Ukrainian artists to paid murals in city approved sites. Because they felt that at least having something beautiful in the ruins, until they have time to rebuild that was something they wanted to look into and support. So the money that we raise goes to Ukrainian artists, they will be painting on walls on various villages here. And then the art will be turned into NFTs (non-fungible tokens) which can be treated on a blockchain. And the money made from those NFTs will support local humanitarian projects."

STORYLINE:
An art project in the Ukrainian city of Irpin is using burnt out cars as canvas and also raising funds to help rebuild the city.
Irpin was under Russian occupation for three weeks.
More than 100 buildings were destroyed in the city and 269 people were killed, according to the police.
The project, called "Flowers for hope", was initiated by Trek Thunder Kelly, an artist from Los Angeles.
He told The Associated Press he was moved by footage he saw of Bucha and decided to come to Ukraine.
"I'm a muralist in the United States, so I was thinking, how can I what I do to benefit in some way?"
On Friday he and a number of Ukrainians were painting sunflowers on dumped, burnt out cars.
Roman Yanko and his mother Olena Yanko, an artist, were among those who joined in.
He said there was a special significance of the sunflowers.
"It is symbol of commemoration of those who died (in the war)," he said.
It is also a flower that symbolises Ukraine.
Artists plan to paint a mural in the destroyed cultural center in Irpin and turn the mural into a non-fungible token.
The money raised will go towards local humanitarian projects, they said.
