About a year ago, we introduced the Buckeye Net Mixed, an experiment in bringing more advanced capabilities to an Amateur Radio emergency net. Today that net operates as the BLACK SWAN Net, structured for auxiliary communications (AUXCOMM) operations, including with use of 5 MHz interoperability channels and procedure that is compatible with U.S. government stations.
I recorded the audio from the net during regular operation on 26 February 2022 and thought that this would be a good time to show our progress. This is not scripted for demonstration: it's regular operation like we have thrice weekly, coordinated with training topics and tasks that we publish every week. The net is operating for this session under Activation Notice 2, available from [ Ссылка ].
The recording of the net is edited for brevity, getting rid of some dead air and eliminating a message being transmitted that does not demonstrate anything different from other messages transmitted. The session actually ran for 24 minutes, and had message relays of 5 priority and 11 routine. Thanks to WD8SAB, N2LC, WD8IIJ, WB8TDG, and KL7RF for joining me on the net that day and putting in the kind of work that obviously shows here. And of course to the rest of the BLACK SWAN operators who are training with us but weren't on that session.
For information on the net see its web site at [ Ссылка ].
