UPDATE: I ended up repurchasing the 2017 model last summer (2020) and giving my old one to my niece. While it's hard to notice the pen pressure difference, you do see it when you go lighter on the pressure, but I ultimately decided I liked the more compact size better, and the bluetooth frees up a USB port that you no longer need for the wireless receiver the way the old one does.
I'll reiterate, though, that if you have the old version, you don't really NEED to upgrade, especially if you don't have the $$$ or have other items on your gear wish list that you can buy first.

I've had the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium (2017 model) for the past two weeks, and while I think it is a GREAT device and would recommend it (link below if you're interested)...it's just not worth it for me, personally. Here's why.
