Clashes after Friday prayers in Egypt have left at least four dead.
Supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsi took to the streets of Cairo to demand an end to the military-backed interim government.
They were met by onlookers throwing stones. Troops used tear gas and fired live rounds to stop them as they approached Tahrir Square.
The area has been cordoned off to stop protesters from occupying the place which became an icon of the 2011 uprising against Hosni Mubarack.
The clashes appeared to calm down as the 7pm curfew loomed.
