Feel lost without sports? No longer an athlete? This is for you. 💥
You feel confused and hopeless without your sport. This makes you feel a lot of unpleasant emotions from anxiousness to an all time low. 😔
You might even hate your sport because you loved it so much and you’re no longer able to continue because you’re moving on to another chapter of your life.
This has you heartbroken, empty, confused, mad. 🫥
This leads you to stop your sport all at once and the habits you had as an athlete - attending practices and the nutrition required to build that athlete.
Then overtime you picked up other activities. For me this was eating and drinking whatever I wanted to patch the pain of not doing my sport which eventually led to 20 lbs of weight gain.❤️🩹
If you found yourself in this situation, to turn this around, you NEED to CREATE a NEW IDENTITY. You are no longer that athlete. You can build a new lifestyle with activities that support your wellbeing. 🌱
When you detach yourself from your past, this gives you an opportunity to build a new one. I let go of running and explored weightlifting and yoga which I still keep around today. 👏
Holding on to that athlete I once was also made me hold onto the past behaviours and thoughts of that athlete during the transition which didn’t help me grow.
Let go of the past athlete, recreate your life, and your mindset. Then things will slowly fall into place.
How would it feel to feel free from those emotions and living life with a sense of purpose beyond sport?
It’s okay to change, it’s time for growth.
