"Confusing the Spirits" was inspired by gamelan music and burial rituals in Bali. At the crossroads of the funeral parade, the bearers of the lavishly decorated Bade (a tower-like construction that has multiple levels – the more levels the construction has, the important the person was in their life) with a Lembu (an ox-shaped coffin where the deceased’s body will be cremated in) turn in circles to confuse the spirits. So they keep them away to follow the deceased in his/her next life.
For me, "Confusing the Spirits" is probably one of the best piece of music I ever played in my life!
