On April 2 and 3, 2016, NUMUS and the Faculty of Music presented "In Celebration” to commemorate the Faculty of Music's 40th anniversary. NUMUS is one of Canada’s foremost new music organizations based in Waterloo and founded by retired Laurier Music professor Peter Hatch.
"In Celebration" featured the world premiere of a major work for chorus and orchestra titled Babel: a choral symphony, composed by Laurier alumna Stephanie Martin (BMus ’84) and performed by the Laurier orchestra, choirs and soloists.
