Hey all!
My little sister wanted to make a Dosirak (Traditional Korean lunch box) and we wanted to share with you how we made it! It's super easy and tasty at the same time.
Recipe:
Korean lunch meat (or in this case we used spam)
1 cup chopped kimchi
- seasoned with
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp fish sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 TBSP sesame oil
Egg
Korean seasoned seaweed
Rice
Cut your lunchmeat however shape you like. Set aside. In the same pan cook your chopped kimchi until all the juice evaporates. Then add in your seasonings. Set aside. Cook you egg however you want. You can scramble it, sunny side up it, ANYWAY you like! :) set that aside. Now you can assemble with rice on the bottom, spam on one side, kimchi on one, egg in the middle, and then top it with the seasoned seaweed and sesame seeds. Close the lunch box and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! Stir if needed.
NOTE: Please adjust the seasonings for the kimchi as the kimchi you end up using might be different than the ones we used. Feel free to add more sugar or less soy sauce/fish sauce if your kimchi is a lot more saltier.
