This international hit was first recorded by The Tremeloes (listen here: [ Ссылка ] ). But when the group declined to release it at the time, producer Mike Smith retained the backing track and replaced their vocals with those of the band headed by the song’s writer Jeff Christie. That’s what is heard here.
