This research has passed through rigorous double-blind peer review by experts in the fields of biblical studies and statistics. It will be published this month in The Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus, an academic publication by Brill that features critical scholarship on Jesus and his historical context. The free preprint version is identical to the closed-access publication, aside from formatting and copy editing improvements.
