Hi I'm Stu Harrison and this is another segment in our series on Yamaha upright pianos. Today we're going to be talking about the price of the Yamaha U1 which is Yamaha's flagship 48 inch Japanese built acoustic upright piano.

There are two categories really that a customer needs to be aware of depending on what their shopping for:
1. The price of the used Yamaha U1 Acoustic Upright Piano
2. The price of a new Yamaha U1 Acoustic Upright Piano

We will start with used.

Yamaha Acoustic Upright Pianos have been sold very widely and consistently in North America since the late 1970s, early 1980s, when the grey market phenomenon started to really take hold.

In today's dollars, you can find a grey market Yamaha U1, that is an upright piano that has been directly imported from Japan (you can find more information about that another video I did on the grey market series)...Yamaha U1 which has been imported into North America (Canada) will typically go to smaller dealer who may do a minimal amount of work on it...
Those types of used Yamaha U1 Upright Pianos are available in Canadian dollars for anywhere between about $3000 to maybe $3300-3400.

I've seen similar price points in the US and I don't see that there's a tremendous amount of difference between the two countries right now.....Learn more by visiting us at [ Ссылка ]
