Where the Future of Entrepreneurship Funding is Headed

One major challenge facing the field is sustainable access to capital so entrepreneurship education organizations can scale. One question is on everyone's mind, "Where will the money come from?" In this panel, you will hear from the heads of many of the major foundations that support entrepreneurship education.

Jo Kwong (Moderator) - Jo Kwong is Director of Philanthropic Services at Philanthropy Roundtable [[ Ссылка ]]. Philanthropy Roundtable is a national association of individual, corporate, and foundation donors located in Washington, DC, they seek to advance liberty, opportunity, and individual responsibility.

Michael Hennessy - Michael Hennessy is President and CEO at the Coleman Foundation [[ Ссылка ]]. The Coleman Foundation is a private, independent grantmaker focusing
primarily on the Midwest. Foundation resources support education -- with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship; locally available quality cancer care and disability services.

Deborah Hoover - Deborah Hoover is President & CEO at Burton D. Morgan Foundation [[ Ссылка ]]. The Burton D. Morgan Foundation supports projects that nurture creativity, invention, entrepreneurship and innovation. To achieve this goal, the Foundation makes grants in three life phases of entrepreneurship education and activity: youth, collegiate and adult.

Nishith Acharya - Nishith Acharya is Executive Director at Deshpande Foundation [[ Ссылка ]]. The Deshpande Foundation is an American philanthropy that focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship and scalability around the world.

Tim Kriewall - Tim Kriewell is the Program Director at the Kern Family Foundation [[ Ссылка ]]. The Foundation focuses on systemic change, rather than charities and it seeks to target funding toward broad impact, long-term programs.

Susan Reardon - Susan Reardon is Vice President and Executive Director at the National Chamber Foundation [[ Ссылка ]]. The National Chamber Foundation conducts research and convenes forums and special events around the country focusing on emerging and critical issues facing the American business community.

Phil Weilerstein - Phil Weilerstein is Director at the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) [[ Ссылка ]]. NCIIA provides a linked sequence of grants and programs that move faculty and student entrepreneurs from innovative ideas to launching start-up companies.
