We put together a fun and inexpensive St. Patrick's Day sensory play activity to help spark creative play at home.
Sensory play is great for helping young children develop their cognitive abilities because it engages a child's five senses. It is also really beneficial in helping children develop problem-solving and fine motor skills.
A nice added benefit of using sensory trays, bins, or tables is that they can be fairly simple and inexpensive to create.
Today's St. Patrick's Day sensory play is stocked with homemade green playdough, rainbow dyed elbow macaroni, fake grass, black cauldron containers from the dollar store, dyed feathers, and some plastic gold coins we also picked up from the dollar store.
We hope you enjoy it and can benefit from some of the ideas!
