📝 Detailed Breakdown:
For this project, we will be floating our tie in the 5.5” mighty hoop which is a process where the item being embroidered will not be secured in the hoop. Instead, we secure the tie onto the stabilizer using tape. The stabilizer of choice is two sheets of 3 oz tear away stabilizer. I typically use cut away for anything being worn but due to the design size and ties not needing to be washed often, I have chosen a tear away for a clean back side of the tie. To get the hoop prepared, I lay the two sheets centered on the bottom Mighty Hoop then allow the top hoop magnetically clamp the stabilizer into place. Once in place, I center the tie and use painters’ tape to secure it to the stabilizer. After this is ready, the tie is placed onto the embroidery machine and centered once more with the machine’s laser. This embroidery process is very quick as it is just two letters. Once done, you can simply tear away the two sheets of stabilizer (one at a time) and the tie is ready to go!
